This Photo shows the original 6 Hopton bells at the foundry in Loughborough. The white resin that can be seen at the top of the bells is to allow canon retaining headstocks to be fitted. These preserve the canons (metal hoops) on the old bells but provide a more secure fixing for the bells when they are hung in the tower.
